Six bedrooms and six bathrooms is a lot of house to keep coherent. This one holds together because the material palette never wavers.
White stone on the elevation, oak through the interior, and a lifetime metal roof rather than asphalt shingle. The roof costs more once and then stops being a line item for as long as anyone reading this will own the house.
The staircase is the centrepiece, oak treads with a clean black spindle run, and the ensuite is a single marble slab rather than tiled.
It was built for a family that wanted room for everyone without the house feeling like a hotel.
